A home observatory is a perfect laboratory because it starts from visible phenomena: heat, cold, light, rain, wind, night and the Moon.
Every data point can become a simple question: why are there few lux today? Why does humidity rise in the evening? Why does dew point matter?
Technology without unnecessary abstraction
ESP32, Raspberry Pi, sensors and databases may seem like separate technical topics. In reality, they become more understandable when they measure something concrete.
The project therefore also becomes an educational tool: it shows how hardware, software and observation can belong to the same story.
Small, but real
The home scale is an advantage. There is no need to pretend to be a professional station. The value lies in measuring one precise point well, with continuity and transparency.
