Account and observation profile
If you create an account, Ivrea Observatory processes your email address, display name, hashed password and email verification status so you can access “My sky”. Observations saved with “I saw it” are linked to your account to build your personal sky memory.

Technical hashes of IP address and user agent may be retained to prevent abuse and protect the service.

Personal and community memory
Community totals show aggregated observations. Your personal profile shows only your observations. We do not publish individual rankings, email addresses or profile data.
Community
Aggregated counts by object, without displaying personal identities.
Profile
Personal memory available after sign-in.
Deletion
You can delete the account from Settings or follow the public Delete account instructions. Personal data is deleted; observations remain only as anonymous aggregate memory.
Service emails
Email is used for verification, password reset and strictly service-related messages. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
